Shirnelle Council, Esq. is the founder and managing partner of S.Council Law Firm, LLC. Mrs. Council is a native of Decatur, Georgia and graduated magna cum laude from Georgia State University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology. Mrs. Council is a proud graduate of Capital University Law School in Columbus, Ohio where she was on the Dean's List, a Moot Court fellow, and a recipient of the Dean's Scholarship and David D. White Scholarship. Mrs. Council graduated from Capital University Law School as a member of the Order of the Curia, an academic honorary society.

Mrs. Council's passion for the law was ignited by her study of Sociology at Georgia State University. As a Sociology major, Mrs. Council gained an in-depth understanding of the intersection between the law and larger social issues. In addition, Mrs. Council developed an understanding of the importance of affordable legal representation in our society. 

Mrs. Council's legal expertise spans both the private and public sector of the legal profession. Prior to starting her own law firm, Mrs. Council worked at two mid-sized law firms and served as a Judicial Law Clerk for a staff of 15 judges and 6 magistrates. In addition, Mrs. Council served as a volunteer attorney with the Legal Aid Society of Columbus where she assisted individuals in appealing the denial of their unemployment benefits. 

 Mrs. Council is a zealous advocate for her clients and understands the importance of providing personable and professional legal representation. Mrs. Council resides in the metropolitan Atlanta area with her husband who is an Assistant Professor at The University of West Georgia.
